

AN « ENTRE-DEUX » AVENTURINE LACQUER COMMODE

Our « entre-deux » commode from Louis XVI period in aventurine lacquer with drawer is decorated with a rich ornamentation of frieze of pearls, piastres and rosaces.
The belt is emphasized by strong garlands of laurels and the drawer presents a key hole in the shape of a medallion topped by a small knot, a typical motif of Louis XVI period as well as two handles decorated in the center with garlands of laurels with chased and gilt bronze lions’s heads. Our commode rests on four fluted and tapered legs and is topped with a red Griotte marble.
